"Everybody leaves the theater quoting lines and cracking up half way through them so if that’s not a good sign of a good comedy I don’t know what is."
Never before have fake trailers been more fitting for a movie. Stiller, Downey Jr., Black, and Jackson's characters have fake trailers for their previous films/ energy drinks. I wont give them away but Downey Jr's is worth the ticket tub alone. This film does great parodies of classic war movie scenes (Platoon), hits stereotypical types of actors beautifully and keeps you interested from the opening credits to last scene. On a quick side note, if anyone else has heard about people protesting the film because it "portrays mentally challenged people cruelly", its not that bad. It's just a joke. There has been much worse before, its just a parody of what some actors do to break out of "action guy" genre by jumping on the most dramatic role they can find...it'll make more sense when you see the film, but to keep things short and sweet, if you love action, comedy, or were even remotely interested in this movie you need to go see it, every character gets great screen time (Jay Baruchel is going places), and cameos galore (Cruise, Bass, McConaughey, etc). Everybody leaves the theater quoting lines and cracking up half way through them so if that's not a good sign of a good comedy I don't know what is.
