"Max Payne..."
While its not the greatest piece of film in history (not that I expected that) it certainly is a much better video game adapted film than most of its predecessors. Its silly, unrealistic, and frankly the "bad guy" of the film is a bit of a pussy. But the action scenes are full of bullets, guns, and and eventually, dead bodies. If you take this for just an action film then you should enjoy it, but if you are looking for more, dont look in this direction.
Mark Wahlberg stars as Max Payne, a cop with vengeance on his mind and a gun in hand, a few guns actually. With his detective work, his snitches and Mila Kunis' character, Max Payne will find his man, even if that means his own death.
A familiar storyline and premise but a not half bad action flick. It tries desperately to show that it has both heart and mind, but in the end its just another shoot 'em up bang bang. Again dont go in wanting something more than that, you wont find it. I personally enjoyed it but its just missing something to really make it a film to remember for a time to come.
Did it do the video game justice? Well lets just say that they did the Max Payne games justice when they had someone other than Uwe Boll direct it, thats enough reason right there to see this. Overall a kickass action flick with flaws that hold it back from being something that it has the potential of fulfilling.
