The story is very basic and deservingly so.After all who is to believe that people would know what was going on if something like this ever happened.Which is the absolute beauty of this movie!It all begins during a going away party for the cast's lead character Rob.And plays out as it would if a bunch of unsuspecting people had to tackle enormous and unexpected circumstances.The simpicity is a highlight.I know alot of viewers were immediately turned off by the films "shaky cam" but how else can you convey a sense of realism in a movie about a giant monster.I thought it was perfect and have never seen anything like it.The reason i said this movie has to be seen in theatres is because i saw this in imax.Where each thundering explosion and monsterous roar reverberated in my rib cage for minutes afterward.I have NEVER moved around in my seat as much in theatres as with this movie.It will lose a good deal of appeal on its DVD release but is still an awesome movie unlike any other and needs to be seen by all.And "OH MY GOD" wait until you see this creatures unholy visage!!Puts Godzilla to shame it does!
