If you hate movies that exploit stuff like sex,drugs, and violence in a very bizarre way than this movie is not for you and don't watch it you will just complain about the subject matter. The Cult classic Heavy Metal is Like an adult version of Fantasia but with a lot of sex,drugs, and violence and with an Awesome soundtrack. If you like the magazine/comic I don't understand how you could not like the movie its awesome. This movie is one of the best cult classics to come out of the 80s. This movie is the ultimate in animated extravaganza and even if you don't like animated movies I would recommend this movie if you like movies with many different stories that overlap in the most psychedelic way check out Heavy Metal but please do not check out the sequel Heavy Metal 2000 that movie sucked I think it did anyways. One of the things I really enjoyed about Heavy Metal was all the different stories and how each one is different than the last and how they all overlap each other. Some of the stories are comedic and some are dark and some are both and that creates an interesting fantasy movie and that's what Heavy Metal is to me a series of bad ass stories all dark and violent and each as one bad ass song after the other. If you are going to watch this go into it knowing that it is probably one of the ultimate stoner movies ever made. Digitally remastered audio & anamorphic video
