"ONE OF THE FUNNIEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME!!!!"
Forgetting Sarah Marshall is really funny. It's totally funny. OMG. I liked it so much. Really, really good stuff. On the real. I cannot recommend this movie highly enough. It's great. I mean that. GREAT. Totally. I cannot gush enough here man. I'd like to see it right now. Again.
Ok, here's the deal. This dude is dating a girl named Sarah Marshall. She's a TV star. Sarah is played by Veronica Mars' Kristen Bell. It's almost like she's playing Kristen Bell in the movie. There are a lot of similarities. Not exact but a bit. Anyway this dude is dating her before she leaves him for a British rock star. He's devastated and in a bid to forget and move on he takes a trip to Hawaii. She's already there with her new boyfriend. That would suck. It does. It totally sucks.
While he's there the dude meets a cute new chick who is also getting over a harsh break up. She's played by Mila Kunis. A totally tanned Mila Kunis. I thought she looked weird but Boone and Greg where in to her so whatever. Anyhow kunis takes a shine to our loser Pete Bretter played by the awesome Jason Segal who also wrote the movie. He's talented, I guess. No he is. We all know this after seeing Sarah Marshall.
Jason Segal really did something great here. I always liked him in the smaller roles that he had in other Apatow productions and especially Freaks and Geeks but the script for this is so funny and great that he has to be considered a talent up there with the best of them. For realsies.
Kristen Bell is also way mad super hot throughout. She wears bikinis and all sorts of great island garb. Sarongs and shit. Awesome. If you like that little skinny girl deal. I kind of do then you'll go ape. We almost get to see some boob during one of the films later scened. Almost but not quite. There are really small though so I can't imagine that there is some awesome surprise there or anything. They prolly look like what you'd expect them too.
Be warned there are a couple scenes of full on male junk used for comical effect. Very successful comic effect though. You'll laugh like a mother at the exposure. It's funny an uncomfortable and all that. All at once.
So go see it dude. You won't be sorry. I promise. If you go and you don't like it then get back to me and I'll tell you that you are dumb. How's that for a guarantee?
