What a suprise!
I was quite suprised by how good this film actually was!
I remember reading the book when I was younger and watching the original film and I was pleased to see that Tim Burton had stayed fairly faithful to both.
It's clear to see that some back story has been added to flesh the film out a bit, and all though it felt a little unnecessary, it didn't ruin the film.
Probably the one thing that kept me watching CatCF was the performance from Johnny Depp. His acting abilities are just incredible!
Overall, this is a fun movie that doesn't try to stray away from the book or the original film. However, I feel that without Depp the film would have suffered severely.
