WATCHMEN (2009)

Agent VIS I don't need a bigger picture from this movie. The end sucked to me. If you can't let it go, then I dunno what to tell you. Tired of hearing about it. Don't bring Trek into it either way. Wish I could just delete this review since all I've caught from it has been shit. I'll keep my opinions to myself from now on.

I wouldn't expect a "trekkie" to get the big picture behind Watchmen...or are you calling yourself trekkers now? Whatever

vamp, I really just start writing after reading every review, but it's ture you can't please everybody in this world.

ok, I siriously think that a review like this posted on a movieweb like this is for anybody to read and comment on kirkepsilo. you can't just make the reviews for just the people who where not a fan of watchmen. + you never actually did say wether by watchmen you meant the book or the movie. and if you're trying to keep both of them out of the review, oh well then you are trying to keep the people that would defend watchmen out of the review so they wont actually get to say different opinions about the movie which is really bad. that is why many people did comment this review.
also what I meant in real society is the big idea not DR. manhattan. i meant to say that society could all be a joke, you never know what happens below the table of politics. and also, this is much much more realistic for the fact that every person in the movie had no superpowers. it also shows the fact that society is not made out of this perfect world shown in many movies. it also shows the actual adulthood of a superhero and what actually happens under the curtain of heroism. so stop telling me that it doesn't show a real pic of society just because you saw a man glowing in the movie and you didn't look at the big picture.

no disrespect but i gotta disagree with ur review also. i understand that u didn't enjoy it and wut not and thats fine, but the movie was great and is a great social commentary on the entire cold war and wut it would take for world peace essentially. plus it goes against all normal superhero movies in that the bad guy achieves his goal and pretty much gets away with it.

again its fine that u didn't like it, but i thought it was friggin awesome.

We're not bashing, we're expressing our opinion, too. And who cares if we think his opinion sucks when he doesn't know what he's talking about? The quote in my last comment is a prime example of that

They didn't do anything because revealing Veidt's plan to the world would throw the world into war again.

To FOY: I'm not a child and I have never read this graphic novel. Had I done that I coulda saved some money. "Not a typical superhero movie?" Fine that I have no problem with. Just my opinion of the movie. If you came to bash me on it, maybe you shoulda read my headline: "This is not a review for ppl who enjoyed Watchmen it is to warn others from wasting their money" All in all I just hated the ending. Oh and this movie looked at an "actual society" right? Our actual society where big blue men walk around dangling their junk and skipping planets and galaxies while trying to save the world. I'd like to know where that actual society is.

Good review. Not every movie is for everyone and I have yet to see a movie that 100% of people who saw it liked it.

I am sorry if the movie did not have much of the action you expected. I guess at the end of the trailer they should've put
"not a typical old superhero movie." of course they should also put "not made for childrens". oh wait they did put that, the movie is rated R.
by the way i guess you were a person who only waited for the ending of the movie and just did not seem to get the fact that this movie was bigger than just any movie. it had it's deep look to an actual society. this movie - also graphic novel - is not one of the best storys of all time because of nothing. it is a great story because it is the FIRST superhero movie to go fully noire and so real and to show the deep cut we actually have in this american society.
you see you were only waiting to see the end and wasted these 3 hours because you haven't actually went deep into the movie which is why it is a 3 hours movie, so many people (not only you) would get some of the actual morals in watchmen.

This was the greatest film eva. But dats da mistake most ppl make, the trailer shows all action and if u read da book youll realize there isnt much action. Wen i went, dere was a couple dat fell asleep behind us.
