"Fizzy Bubbly"
The story is basic, The Zohan is an israeli counter terrorism army commando who wants to move to America to pursue his dream as a hair stylist. So he is in a battle with his nemesis the Phantom(John Turturro) when he fake his own death and leaves his beloved hummus and fizzy bubbly behind and heads to the land of oppertunity to make everyone silky smooth.
Not the Adam Sandler we've seen in recent efforts such as mr deeds, click, the brilliant 5o fisrt dates and anger management where he plays the nice romantic guy. This is more slapstick and crude with a politacle statement which is not too forced or preached upon us, more of an innocent view on conflict such as why can't we all get along?(money). There are some very funny momments such as the feet uppercut and the very fast swimming(you have to see this). I would say this is not for everyone with most critics complaining about the rude cheap gags so I guess it's a matter of taste.
I enjoyed the cheap gags and smiled and laughed my way through this very funny film. My only gripe is that it's a bit long. A must see if you like light harted comedy.
