Boy is my face red!Let me start by taking back my complaint about the new reviewing system.Im sure anyone who bothered to read my Machine girl review was like "What is this ass wizard going on about?" But i see now that was for the DVD review.I guess I've tried to avoid doing those so I was caught off gaurd.So see it was a simple mistake Movieweb people please let my mom go I dont know how to do laundry!So lets start this review shall we?This is a guy movie.Period.Now not being sexest and saying for sure no girl will like this but just using the term "guy movie" as its own category.It will only appeal to those who can switch the ol' think tank off and bask in some glorified violence.We start off with Frank accidentally killing an undercover agent whilst on the job and then going on to protect that agents family from reprisals at the mutilated hands of jigsaw(who punisher ran through a bottle crusher!In the comics it was a simple knock through a plate glass window but this movie is hardcore so FUCK THAT he gets the bottle crusher!)Now jigsaw is played by.....Dominic West I do believe and I have to say.He was sad.His high school drama class brooklyn accent made me laugh out loud. "Hey yous twos go ova der and check dat outs" classic but the wierd thing is this movie creates an environment where its okay if you cant act for shit so he's totally off the hook!This movie is proud of how hammy it is which is basically what makes it work on a medievel level.Now to be fair Ray Stevenson was a pretty rad Punisher but so was Tom Jane.This movie really belongs in the eighties i feel,aside from its "Saw" like green tint and nifty visual flair and hard rock music that is.So no it isnt a great movie but it knows that and its willing to keep you entertained by not talking to much,shooting alot and not overstaying its welcome.Its a violent bullet riddled ride thats over before it ever feels to long to leave nothing to complain about.And if your gonna make a brainless action flick thats how you do it.
