A brilliant classic movie!

I've been meaning to watch this film for years and I've finally seen it!

I'd like to start off by saying that Anthony Hopkins is a fantastic actor and he is uterly brilliant as Hannibal Lecter! The character is so charming and chilling that it makes him one of the scariest villians I've ever seen.

Jodi Foster gives a good performance too.

My favourite sequence is definitely Hannibal's escape. Its so brilliantly done that I didn't ever expect the little trick that Hannibal pulls to get away!

I didn't care that much for the crime solving scenes as these reminded me too much of CSI. I realise at the time of making the film that CSI didn't exist, but watching the film now and watching various crime programs that are around at the moment, the puzzle solving scenes just felt horribly familiar.

Overall, TSotL is a fantastic film! and is a must see for anyone who isn't a little squeamish.
