"Jack black is fascinating as the lazy, self loathing fiance; both believable an entertaining"
Really dissapointed. I had such high hopes for it; mainly because this was Jack Black in his first real serious role; and in that sense it was great. Jack Black was both entertaining and believable in his role as the self loathing, lazy and somewhat creepy fiance, but nicole kidman on the other hand failed to impress me in any way.
The film was dull with no real direction, it was slow and the end, which i hoped would bring some kind of resolve to many of the sub stories which it covered, failed to explain or conclude anything.
Margot at the wedding has a great cast of actors and is well shot; capturing the miserable and somewhat depressing lives of the people on which the film is focused. The story itself had the potential to be a brilliant film but in this case the film as a whole did not equal to the sum of all its parts.
