"Majestic in its own right."

I was glad to see how close this film followed the scenes that were portrayed in the novel, however there were some parts that were prolonged to some extent. The acting was defiantly better than the first, yet there were times when I did not believe in the situation that they were in. In short, the children looked bored.
The pace of the story was well executed, despite the overly drawn out battle scene at the end. I kept asking myself when they were going to pan back to Susan and Lucy, leaving the viewer hanging for a second, and, as awesome as the water man was, I did not see why he had to take up as much time as he did. It was like an awkward greeting where you find yourself saying "can I help you?" after a moment's pause.
Despite these errors, I thought that this was an enjoyable film and worth the money. I would be weary of taking young children as there are battles and peril throughout. I never looked at my watch, so that was a plus. While I would not call this a classic in and of itself, it is still a welcomed edition to the Narnia franchise. Aslan was the best part of the whole film...bottom line.
