AUSTRALIA (2008)

"A breakthrough In The Theatrical Experience Of 2008. this and Benjamin Button were the best 2 ways to kiss your year goodbye."

If I want to start with this movie I'd be really ashamed fir the fact that it was a movie I didn't want to watch. I thought it was stupid and very much the next notebook. I had no idea that this feeling was wrong. NOT ONE BIT. This movie was easily what you can call a masterpiece. It had won my hear and I am sure it had won many others' hearts in the theaters, not only in the united states but also all around the world. Maybe this seems to happen to me with every masterpiece I experience but: Oh well! that's the way it goes. I really Did not watch Moulin rouge and it crowned the top spot in my best movies of all time. I really was not into benjamin button a lot and it came to be the 2nd best movie of 2008. and this is just another great breakthrough that made me say "WAW" out-loud when I was done watching it. I will not lie. I thought the trailer and the teaser posters where stupid. But then I was impressed by finding everyone else LOVING this movie. not only on movieweb but everywhere. everyone Loved it and nobody i ever heard of who saw this movie and said that it sucked or was even close to bad. I said in myself and to myself that I had to check what the buzz was all about. Well I was just walking into the theater with nothing else in my mind and big bam boom I see it in front of me. it was like a dream just for the fact that the actual show started in like 20 minutes. So I was like "well I'll see that". I was regretting myself at first, but then I got in. Then the massive masterpiece started and so starts my review on Australia.

easily described as a masterpiece I call this my third best movie for this year, 2008, and I call this movie the 8th best movie of all time and for me, I think this deserves it. anyways to start, this movie started with a scene I was afraid it was going to start with, with the great mighty hunting of those people. I really don't know what I am supposed to call them but they are this kind that sings the songs that makes no sense and they wear a small piece of clothing around their, you know what, place. Anyways, right at that moment when they started hunting fish and stuff, I was like "FUCK NO, I didn't spend my money on this?!?!?!". I was really pissed off at that moment. I thought he was going to tell the story of lala land were Nicole Kidman and hugh jakman came. But NO. it was not what i expected. it was very very different. it was an over the top scene when he jumped in the water hid and the body came right at him. right then I hushed myself from saying "OH so it's not what I though but.... this. alright alright." then the amazing map came and took us in a great journey from what they call Australia "The whites", To England. Then the amazing sparkling nicole kidman Shows Up.

Nicloe kidman had a great personality to portray in the movie. and I can't talk about a person as talented as nicole kidman. She kinda talks about herself. even though i hated the golden compass, I loved her performance through it. And for me she was a surely regrettable Sparkling diamond in "Le Moulin rouge". she made me swing with her in every part of that amazing movie. nicole kidman does talk about herself as a big actor - At least in My eyes - for this case I really think I wasn't wrong when I said she made a great job too. She is an amazing actor as an aristocrat, a villain and a - well not to say it - Nightclub Singer. LOL. Just trying to keep it clean Guys. LOl. Anyways, as a dramatic experienced artist I give her very much credit of the fact that this movie's acting was rated a 5. Also her role was a hard one to play as much as it was easy for HER to play it. I think it is really important in this movie to show all the different sides of a woman, the aristocrat, the sexy, the strong, the confident, the fearful, the fearless and of course, the mother. She was able to portray all of those through her amazing acting and I was expecting tthis acting from her. yet still again, it was AMAZING to see her doing all those great roles in one character in one movie. this character was probably really not too hard to play yet it had it's hard parts and nobody can sat no to that. her character was an aristocrat. I really enjoyed seeing her playing that part as she does always. She is always fancy with her roles as many people recognize nicole kidman. Also I really have to tell you that this is not why i gave her a 5 stars acting. this aristocrat had a land under her name in Australia through the world war II. But when her husband fails for a reason unknown to rule or take charge of this land and stops communicating with his family in England, she wants to go and see everything that had happened right there. At that moment she made the choice that will change her life forever. she went far beyond the lands and i love how they used that technique of the plane on the map. It always attracts my attention to the fact that this movie was old. that was something i thought it was worth mentioning. Anyways, She gets to there and somehow she had to get a person who will get her from the place she is in to the land they are supposed to own.

In A great bloody mess and a big view of comedy i introduce to you the great and awesome Driver "HUGH JACKMAN". I don't really think that hugh jakman was a very big part of the cinematic experience that i had. I watched many movies yet none of them made me get this idea of him being in a way, different from Wolverine. Of course, I was talking before this came out. LOL. And yes, he is the driver and as the driver, or a driver from Australia and already living in this mess, he will try to make fun of the aristocrat all the way through the road. That was an obvious scene. Of course all you heard in the theater was laughing and shouting and crap whenever they saw her screaming at a kangaroo (if you've watched the movie or have seen the trailer) and what happened next. Listen I seriously laughed at that moment just for the fact that I never caught the fact that she will say it like that. LOL. She surprised me. I think I dropped my phone or something and I heard her shouting " LOOK it's a kangaroo". Anyways, not get too writyyy with my review even though I already did, Hugh jakman was not the guy who was ready to meet the lady at his car saying to her "good morning miss let me help you with your bags." NONONO. He is the guy that doesn't care if he's waiting a queen and just gets in a big and huge fight with the people in the place he was waiting. And right at that moment miss SUPER SWEET LALA LAND comes in and big big bam boom, somehow his hand were stuck to her Bra - the one in the bag nothing else guys. And so huge jackman gets her to the place just for her to find that the biggest and most enormous thing had happened to her. Now her husband was DEAD. Obviously guys just click click, put the clews together. And somehow she had to rule the land and get the animals to the shipping place (sorry guys, not the best person at writing, use your imagination a little. LOL). And of course she needed a MAN to help her. And right when she asks it, A MAN, or maybe I should say THE MAN so you would understand who am I talking about if you didn't already COMES IN. And the big circle of the tow lovers is done. Yes, it is hugh Jackman, the guy who has the three pointy and shiny Blazers on his hands. and yes in all the movies that I've seen so far I could easily say this was the best out of all of them. This movie basically shows me that Hugh is talented to do something that will make me forget that wolverine face. I saw many movies for him but I just couldn't see him fitting the character. Australia is what i call A big change for Hugh from Just a good actor to a really good actor. he's still not that great, But yes, I will be interested in seeing movies because he is in them. After this one I will! He did a great job and was able to portray the character just as it was supposed to be. he made the character awesome and gave it his own touch on the movie. so pretty much he was the last third piece to why I gave the acting a 5 in this movie.

Greatly made the movie's story is easy, yet the details in this story makes you want to give it a 5 on everything. Nicole kidman's performance and Hugh jackman's performance didn't give this movie a five and got it to be the third movie of the year and the 8th movie of all time. NO. The story will be the second reason. The story was great and as I went through the movie's main actors I did talk the whole story through and I think that if you've read it you'll know what I mean. That story is mostly the big story and is only a part of the amazing little things in between the scenes. but I can tell you this, if you liked the trailer or if you didn't, if you saw the trailer or if you didn't, If you even LIKED MY REVIEW OR YOU DIDN'T -So far of course- Then just go see it. It is a movie made for everything. The story was love and was war. it was comedy and action and drama combined together in this lovely masterpiece. as you saw in the start of the review I didn't like the movie at all. not the trailer or the preview and thought it was going to be the next notebook. I just saw that everyone was really acting great about it so i went and saw it randomly. And LOOK WERE I GOT. If I missed this then I would have missed all the great adventures and awesome things all the way through. But no good thing I didn't.

and just when you think this review is going to come to an end, it rises up to talk the last words before I will shut my hands from writing on this small space in my Movieweb. The last but not least is Visualization. IT WAS AWESOME. Again, Just like when I saw Moulin rouge, I saw that through this movie and in every second you look at it, it's going to look like a masterpiece. The visuals broke every think and just when you think that it will only be nature and stuff like animals jumping off a cliff and things like that, Comes the amazing Japanese Planes. So mostly it has everything. It has those old cowboys visuals, the planes visuals, and also the fancy great and awesome visuals.

and so the curtain closed and I got out of the theater Fulfilled with my movie that I proudly call "ONE OF THE BEST OF ALL TIME". Australia brings you a thousand emotion for you to feel and a million laughter for you to laugh. if you've watched it then you've been already blessed by this masterpiece and if you didn't I leave you wondering what's behind this movie and giving you the curiosity to see it. Australia is a wonderland you need to experience and after many failures FOX brought itself back up with this movie.

thank you fox and thanks for everyone who had read thins. and with my last words I now end my review for Australia.

Nice review, I completely agree. You just have to watch out for capitalization and stuff...I saw a lot of lower case letters where capital letters should be, and vice versa lol
