"Animation at its best"
I am a huge fan of Jack Black, so I knew I would like this. I can say that it blew away any expectations I had.
The movie started with laughs and continued all the way to the end. The acting by Black, Jolie and Hoffman is great. All of them have their moments. Even Jackie Chan as the monkey has a great joke, even though he doesn't have much dialog in the film.
The animation is top notch, I think that Dreamworks is giving Pixar a run for their money. The fight scenes are tremendous, and I don't just mean "for a kids movie". They were all very well choreographed, but keep the laughs coming.
You don't need to have kids to enjoy this movie, but they'll love it for sure. It's great for all ages. You'll love it.
