"Objects in the rear view mirror are kinda freaky!"
Well,well,well....
For a while i have been avoiding writing reviews about as much as i have been rejecting JR's friends requests. which is alot!
But i thought, what the hell, lets do it. (A review that is, JR can go fuck!)
The movie as you already know is "Mirrors". No need really to explain the premise, but hey, i'm in a good mood.
Ben Carson (Kiefer Sutherland aka Jack Bauer) is an ex cop, a reformed alcoholic, divorced with two kids and on heavy med's! Good start right?
He takes up a security job at an old department store that has been burnt to the ground in the past few years to make ends meat. Only to discover than it's haunted, by ghosts, in the mirrors. Get it?
Now thats out of the road, lets talk about the movie itself. It's good, not great , just good. the opening scene had me laughing with disgust at the gore. I thought "oh fuck yes, this is gonna be great".. but that scene was about the worst in it. WTF? You don't start off with the best gore scene in a horror, do you? Well after that i was expecting more gore but all i got was a decent attemp at a suspensefull horror movie. Boo...
There was another scene involving a hot female ripping her own jaw apart, but i've scene that shit before. Kiefer Sutherland is pretty good, the rest of the cast are also decent (except his kid, think he's like 10 or something,... he sucks) some of the effects are good, and the overall story when you get to find it out is ok. Which brings me to that,
"SPOILER ALER"
I would have preferred to see a a movie made about the young posessed girl getting that treatment with the mirrors, in my opinion, they didn't go into that as much as i would have liked.
My girlfriend was scared shitless, i thought it was worth a watch but not overly scary. Maybe the last 15 minutes got good, i'm not sure, i was still sorely dissappointed that there wasn't much gore after the opening scene! :(

Travis, i gave up school nearly 10 years ago. i didn't give a toss then about my punctuation, so i really don't give a shit now! :)
ya know the saying, "can't teach an old dog new tricks"? well thats bull, i think you can. but if the dog couldn't give a wank, whats the point in trying?
Now that you say its not "overly scary", I guess I won't even bother with it on dvd either. Anyway...
Nice review.
btw i think that "hot female ripping her own jaw apart" is Amy Smart. ;)
good review
