The x-files ,a classic show,and the first theatrical release,"fight the future",a classic movie,but this one a classic,I don't know.For that to happen I would say that it will have to gain a little age and then maybe.

What I realized, and you may to while watching the movie "i want to believe",is that it's over,(the x-files series and the adventures they went on),the movie almost rubs that in your face, if your a fan, when you see the present statis of fox and dana,she being a surgion in a child's hospital and he a kind of recluse looking character that hides out in a small room ,so to speak,walls covered with articles about strange occurances as he sits there at his computer researching cases that relate to his lost past with the fbi and still searching for answers concerning his sister. It's kind of heart breaking, of course this would possibly be if he was on the run from the fbi.They contact scully and she comes over and tells him he's needed and all charges would be dropped, (refer to last show,season 9)if he comes in to assist them on a case involving a physic and a missing agent.They catch up with the killers and when they do it's not much to watch except for a surprise guest that shows up to help. I didn't care for the story too much,but it'll pass for another case to be stored away in the files. Back on the show mulder had a "i want to believe" poster on his office wall with a ufo on it and this movie had no space saucers or space men ,so I don't know for sure why they would call the movie this other than attracting the fans to make more cash. I took the title, I want to believe to mean,..when the majority of people around you disbelieve something of truth,importance,or something imposible "to them",you may be the one with the light to go forward to reach an end of a search for the truth ,doing what the man told scully in the movie..."Don't give up!."

The greatest thing I liked about this movie is seeing the 2 back together with their comparing notes routine and their respect for each other. They do though have different lives now ,especialy scully with her present work in saving the lives of children. I feel like they can work something out ,spend time,go out to eat from time to time ,but as for their life with the fbi ,it's appears to be over. After the credits start rolling, wait till near the very end ,you'll see them from up high (a helicopter shot) in a row boat,fox at the ores with his trunks on and dana wearing a bathing suit.I waved, then she waved ,it was an experience to be savored. Maybe they'll be back with a little something for us in the years up ahead,don't stop believing.
