"Disgusting monsterosity and vile desicration of a great TV series. It's not even direct to DVD worthy"
I loved Dragonball Z when i was a kid it was the greatest TV show on earth so naturally i expected Dragonball Evolution to be worth something but the harsh reality is that the movie is simply worthless. The acting is beyond terrible it's either too over the top or too wooden. The script is inconclusive, poorly paced, and full of awful dialogue. The action is terribly choreographed with no style and poor adobe after effects type CGI. What a waste of $120 million dollars look at how much something like 300 did with a $60 million dollar budget and compare it to this monsterosity.
Sadly they turn Dragonball into a modernized teen drama with martial arts it feels like a kung fu version of She's All That with Goku being bullied at school and beating on the jocks to impress Chi Chi at a party. Everything feels rushed and random Piccolo has no personality, no motive and no screen time he just lurks in a random lair in the sky. The characters are ripped to shreds Goku is not even a saiyan nope he is a human possessed by oozaru from Piccolo's doing. Ozzaru looks like a werewolf out of Van Helsing by the way. Sadly this film had potential i was desperate to like this but sadly i could not. Justin Chatwin was moderatly hot, and Bulma's leather jacket and guns were sexy but that's about all the movie has going for it. Dragonball Evolution isn't even direct to DVD worthy.

All that aside, I was never much of a DBZ fan. I remember watching a few episodes when I was younger, and I thought it was pretty badass. Apparently though, this film is not. Great review.
ps. The upside of Microsoft word.....it has spellcheck. =)
