What I loved about this movie was the instant change of pace of the scenes. It goes from slow and steady to fast and suspenseful instantly. Also, the visual effects are amazing. It gives you a sense of what it'd actually be like to have the statue of liberty's head thrown at you, being on the Brooklyn bridge with a crowd of people as it begins to collapse and being in an intense helicopter crash. I, also, loved how J. J. Abrams marketed this film. He kept the movie's production a top secret from the public which made me even more interested in the film when the first trailer was released. However, if you get motion-sickness easily, then this film is not for you. Since it's filmed in a point-of-view perspective, the constant moving and shaking of the camera can at times be very nauseating. Overall, 'Cloverfield' is a great movie filled with action, suspense and humor. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.
