"Do you wan to go for a swim??"

This Swedish based horror/ thriller takes us to an apartment complex in Stockholm where Oskar, a 12 year old boy with several issues befriends a seemingly 12 year old girl who has just moved into the apartment next door with her "father". Through the friendship developed over time and trust, Oskar realizes she's a vampire. She inspires Oskar to fight back when the school bully has gone to far only to be confronted by a "bigger" bully issuing Oskar a bet at the swimming pool which results in deathly consequences to all that has picked on Oskar.

This movie seems to be stuck in the 1970's with their clothing, music and way of life. It should have been subtitled in English because the voices and emotions of the characters reminded me of the old cheesey Saturday afternoon Kung Fu movies. Lastly, someone get this kid a tissue!

FYI, the film takes place in Stockholm during the 80's. And actually VIS, Buckshot does extend his knowledge past "American expectation"; I know I've messaged him about a few including King of the Hill, Eden Lake, and Martyrs. But I do agree VIS, this is a great film nonetheless.

First of all, I didn't notice the fucking "snot." It seems as though you were too distracted by what was supposedly coming out of this kid's nose to see just how great this movie is.

Second of all, it's not the 1970s...it's Sweden. I don't know anything about them over there, but I assume that what you think is a problem with their clothing and way of life isn't because of a different time era, it's because it's a different fucking country, you fucking idiot.

Third of all...it's just an excellent film. Scarier than most of the shit that gets put out in this country. You have to remember it's a foreign film so it might not live up to your "American" expectations.

The movie has both subtitles and dubbing. The latter being quite grating on the ears.
