"A terribly average, totally pontless third installment to the Rush Hour series."

Now as negative as my overall quote may sound this movie has several saving graces, none which appeal to me in particular but I can see how this movie could be liked. For me there is no sense of adventure this time around, with a loose plot line (rarely making much sense) and the same tired old gags that were starting to wear thin the second time around, this movie treads no new ground.Chris Tucker is more annoying than ever and every line he is about to say almost feels forshadowed.Jackie Chan as well takes a fall as the action scenes are relatively tame (minus a few well thought out vehicle scenes) but even at his age i know he is capable of FAR better.Another big problem is no matter how many times Lee and Carter "Bond" in each movie there is yet another "Your not my brother,I never want to see you again" scene.Very tiresome indeed. On the plus side you can never really HATE these characters (although I am getting close with Chris Tucker) and they're chemistry is entertaining,if not just for the black/asian contrast. Now as far as directing goes this movie is rather unspectacular seeing as it never feels like there was a NEED or even an original IDEA behind this project. That, and I will never forgive Mr.Ratner for what he did to the poor X-men!what did the X-men ever do to you ratner!!??WHAT!?For shame!....ahem.....and finally the visuals. Now i know you are thinking"what is the need to talk about the visuals in a Rush Hour movie?"....well shut up and I'll tell you!Because before seeing this i would have agreed wholeheartedly. But during a very cool sword fight at the end of the movie(a highlight for sure!) things all of a sudden go totally awry and the otherwise cool scene is ruined by a plunge into CGI ridiculousness! It was like watching the Smith battle in "Matrix Reloaded" with wonky,CG ragdolls falling and flipping this way and that, and it felt absolutely unnessecary and ends the movie on a bad note as well.So if you are jumping into this series with this movie it may not seem so predictable but to those of us who enjoyed the first two it feels a tad played.Harmless fun at times..painful to watch at others.Worth a purchase if you have the other two.
