"The first hour is all what i could say about crap... but later, The masterpiece i am waiting for starts."
Let's Say that I was disappointed the point i got into the theaters and started looking at the screen's cheesy moments. I really was disappointed. Then I was released for disappointment because i was able to see the last 50 minutes that were amazing. i really loved every part of those 50 minutes. but before, I really didn't like it.
Before starting to talk about the movie, I just wanna say that I was a really big fan on movieweb. I really felt the movie was going to be good. As many people on here knows, I wasn't able to watch the movie in the first weekend of its release. so I was really mad because of that. I thought about the movie as a vampire one more than a cheesy movie that was seriously bad. I was pretty sure that many parts of the movie that were cut off could be in the movie in place of many cheesy moments that really weren't in the book.
Now Let's just say I really have a lot of stuff to say about this movie and I really don't know were to start from. But lets start from the start. As I will write this review, I will talk at first about the story, the book. (which is supposed to be the movie) and then later I will talk about the movie the way i divided it. later I wanna talk many other stuff, like how the book was different from the movie, all the cheesy moments that could be taken out of the movie and of course the amazing soundtrack that was used in the wrong places in the movie. without forgetting the visuals.
STORY...
I really felt myself flipping the pages of the book faster than I thought and I couldn't believe my ability to read the full book by only 2 weeks, since I am usually a really, really slow reader. the story as said in the book was that Isabella swan, a girl living in Phoenix with her mother moves to the small town of forks in washington. As she gets to the new town, everyone starts looking at her as the new kid, as usual for every new person in his new school. She was also welcome by a person that usually is not that friendly to people in the school and tries to avoid them. Edward cullen. he, and his 4 other brothers from the family of Carlisle Cullen go to school together and mostly stay together and are not that open to people around them. Yet love can break any wall. you'll obviously see it'll break bigger. Edward cullen falls in love with Bella(isabella) and of course, HE WAS A VAMPIRE, which puts lots of walls between them. as soon as he tells her about his truth she'll also know that this he is a VAMPIRE VEGETERIAN. or mostly drinks blood of animals not human. as they both fall in love with each others, The new trio of vampires come to town, James, Victoria and Laurent. Of course They are not "VEGETARIAN VAMPIRES". And to catch the scent of a human by a vampire is really not that much of a hard thing. And as We know that James is a tracker, which is a person that likes to torture before he kills, he puts his eyes on bella's blood. He was challenged by edward and he was not going to run away. AS the chase starts, I really get bored for I know the whole story, but I really liked it. And know I shall stop before I spit the end of it out to whoever wants to watch it. now however many stuff I loved in the book and made me happy that they are there, wasn't in the movie, so I was really sad for that. anyways the movie was really different in many things. that is something really important about it.
Now as you see I easily divided the movie into tow parts: CRAP > MASTERPIECE > END.
Now lets start by hour 1 = crap.
This was the worst hour I've ever been into in a theater. it was kinda embarrassing that I was there too. I thought I went into a wrong movie. I really was disappointed because people were screaming everywhere which made the movie like crap. I just wanted to scream out-loud: " SHUT THE F UP YOU DOUCHE BITCHES" I was seriously not liking that. Also I was really making myself know that this was a nightmare. and that the real movie was seriously good. Now how about I state the things that made me feel like that. mostly nobody except edward and bella got a nice acting. all the other actors failed badly, I was seriously laughing, for I know I would be better than that if I was acting in the movie. they all were not the way I imagined it and really far away from the way described in the books. it also was so cheesy. I mean SO cheesy. I mean siriously, I didn't want to see only big, huge, humongous eyes of edward on the big screen. i mean I was saying in me: " AKWARD". this was really bad like never before.the visuals were really bad too. i was really seeing it and confused trying to relate it to the movie. i was so disappointed till we get to the part that bella gets to edward's house. then everything changes.
Now lets continue by the last 50 min = masterpiece.
Something changed, either i was in a nightmare that got to be a dream later on, or i changed the theater and I got to see the real twilight movie. it got seriously really good. I was so amazed by everything. the visuals got really better. the story was more sticking with the book. it was siriously better. in lots of ways. I was more amazed and illusioned by the acting. of course you wont be able to see laurent, james nor victoria in the start, so mostly they were really good in there parts. especially victoria, she had the exact things I saw her with. she was really good. also carlisle was really good too. I was amazed by lots of the things i wasn't able to be amazed with in the start, it's like you're in an airplane and there was a strom, and after you get through it, you get beyond it, I was really thinking about it. how could that movie be this one too. I was confused and pleased at the same time.
Now let's continue with the last part = the end.
the end held a really cheesy part, yet it was not regrettable like the ones before. I was amazed by the fact that the end was not thaat bad, even thought it was supposed to be because When I read the book I saw it a bit bad, I was confused in the book with one thing that I am deffinitely not confused with now. so that's good. I was better and better while I was out of the theater, pleased that the movie didn't have the end cut from it too. I was feeling better while I saw it. now as I go through this I think it wasn't fair to give it a 2.5 stars especially for the second part. it held better visuals acting and story was more of the book. so as I divided the movie this would be the rating for each.
Part 1: Acting: 2.5 stars/ story: 2 stars/ directing: 2 stars/ visuals: 1.5 stars
Part 2: Acting: 4 stars/ story:4 stars/ directing: 4.5 stars/ visuals: 4.5 stars
As i saw myself talking about the movie like a maniac, I was really confused cause many points are really over with by now and i talked about then through it. that includes them bad cheesy moments, how the book was different than the movie and of course the visuals. I was able to say those through the review. now nothing was left to say and talk about except the soundtrack.
I was amazed by many songs in the soundtrack and was amazed that it held #1 in the itunes stores, for best selling CD for more than 5 days. I was really amazed, especially that many things were released through this part of the year for music. include the new kanye west CD. Also linkin park and britney spears. so how could this one be number one for a long time. But that's not the thing I wanted to talk about. since I am still talking about the movie I'll talk about the movie's use of the soundtrack. well it sucked. simply, people really don't know how to use a soundtrack anymore. when edward was trying to save her from that thing (I wont say it so i wont ruin anything for anyone who didn't watch it) they put that fuckin bella's lullaby song, which is mostly piano music. Come on people you can do better than this. i mean really, this sucked. and it wasn't only in the first part, it was in the full movie. I was amazed by the fact that many things were really bad with the music. anyways, that was not a main factor, and thank god it wasn't, or I would kill myself.
At the end I don't know what to say about the movie because i am still confused about many parts of it. mostly it was good at the end and bad with the start.
All I really can say is: I am waiting for NEW MOON.

I LEFT AFTER 25 MINUTES!
I'm sorry but I hated the movie, but the book was okay. Good review thou man.
You mean my interjections are now irrelevant? Oh well...it was still a fun debate.
I like the similarities between me and you.
Also, yes the acting can change, for a reason really easy. you can get better with the character afteryyou do it at first. + many suckers at the first hours don't even show themselves in the second part. so I guess that's it.
i really liked the girl that playd rosalie i tought she was really good also ALICE WAS AWSOMW!!
the first hour is mostly about them knowing each other and getting confortable with each other yes i agree with mb123!
i agree on the soundtrak thing!!

also they needed way more money to make it better i hated that lol! but good review i liked reading all that lol!
Great review, man.
Personally, I didn't read the book until AFTER seeing the movie. Now I imagine the actors from the movie when I read the book. It helps.
Nice review.
