""My name is Benjamin Button, and I was born under unusual circumstances. While, everyone else was agin', I was gettin' younger... all alone.""
I don't want to shout out how good this movie is. i don't want to blurt out, "awesomest love story ever" or anything like that. I feel this movie is to fragile to say that. Think of this review, as a whispering voice. That's how amazing Benjamin Button was.
First of all, this movie is not for everyone. I went to see it with a bunch of friends, and it was mostly older people, or couples in the theater. We were whispering, but still, the loudest ones there. My friends thought the movie was too long, or that it was too slow. Of course a bunch of guys who didn't see it, said that it's a waste of time/money, or it was good, but not great. I'm the only person i know besides people on this site that liked it. I don't care. I'm just glad I got to see something this beautiful this year.
The story of course as you could tell by the trailers and title, is about a man named Benjamin Button, who is both cursed and blessed with the ability to age backwards. And only backwards.
The movie is too long for me to explain it, and I do not want to give anything away. Some parts are predictable and you won't need me to give away the rest. However I will talk about the actors and directors.
The acting of Brad Pitt is superb. Not the best of this years long list of hopeful's, but the best I've ever seen him play. Portraying a aging backwards man, or kid, or whatever the hell he is, (its boggling at times) is definitely not an easy task. And he really brings across the emotions of being the only one of his kind, along with his curiosity. I give him a huge bravo, and hope to see him in just as good roles.
Cate Blanchett is truly a typical woman in this movie. Always changing her mind, and caring for herself, then maturing and caring for others, then being on the verge of death and not caring too much anymore. I felt her emotions run awild, as a lost soul, and it moved me. And she really is hot at parts. ;P
Taraji P. Henson is Queenie, Benjamin's "Mom", and she is wit full, realistic, and everything a mom should be with attitude.
Everyone else in the great casst such as Tilda Swinton, Joeanna Sayler, Jason Flemyng, Julia Ormond, Jared Harris and even Tom Evveret do great performances.
The effects they use to age people, are so detailed, if I didn't know better, I would think they were real people that really aged like that. I mean their practically perfect. And not to mention the many other effects such as the submarine battle (one of my favorite parts), the battleships, and many other great sights.
David Fincher, yet again has created a favorite movie of mine. I mean Se7en was good, Fight Club was great, and I have yet to see Zodiac but I heard its even better. I am glad to call him still, one of my favorite directors.
All in all, I loved this movie, and I don't care what it wins, even though it deserves alot of wins; or how much money it makes, although it should make some. lol. I am just glad I had the chance to see this classic.

David Fincher's Zodiac with Downey JR. and Jake Gyllenhaal was pretty good, it's a long one to about over 2hrs.
