"Just a little off the top."

The acting was good, the characters looked perfect for the roles. The singing was only fair, and they did a lot of it. Musicals you expect singing but this one could have used a little more dialog. There wasn't much to the actual story, had it not been a musical it would have been done in like 45 minutes. And sorry to say but Angela Lansbury did a better job of Mrs.Lovett in the 1982 version, better voice and acting. Helena Bonham Carter looks the part of Mrs. Lovett and doesn't do a bad job its just missing a little something. The costumes and the settings were great they set the mood well and matched the time period. The movie does bring out Johnny Depp's darker side which he does so well.
