Hey, for all you Quentin fans, I'd like to know which of his films you think is best and worst, I've heard people say every character in Reservoir Dogs is Quentin Tarantino, but some say it's his best. Some say Kill Bill is rubbish, non-nonsensical trash, others have said it's a masterpiece, what do you think? What is his best film, and which should be buried and forgotten about?
No such thing as a bad Tarantino film. There are just degrees of greatness. My favorite QT films in order of preference:
1. Pulp Fiction 2. Kill Bill 3. Inglourious Basterds 4. Death Proof 5. Reservoir Dogs 6. Jackie Brown
I know it's a controversial choice putting Death Proof above Dogs but I'll never understand why some people love pissing on that film. I mean in truth, it has everything that a great QT film should have: Long humorous dialogue scenes, great music and bursts of graphic violence. Not to mention one of the greatest car chases ever captured on film.
@stoned -- I've only seen "Kill Bill", "Reservoir Dogs", and "Inglourious Basterds" - and I think all of them are outstanding films(just look at my movie ranks). I hear "Jackie Brown" to be the worst, which I clearly have no say on. I honestly don't see how people can dislike "Kill Bill" - it's one of the most fun movies you can watch, I was constantly entertaining. I'd like to say their Quentin Tarantino haters who only dislike like him because of the "pop culture" references he pours into his films - which I find to be a horrible excuse.

@moviemaniac66 -- I hear "Pulp Ficiton" is his best, and you think "Kill Bill: Vol 1" is more superior? Can you tell me how exactly? I'm not trying to come across the wrong way, I'm just interesting on why you think so. I also felt "Inglourious Basterds" was better than "Kill Bill: Vol 2" - both were boring films - but "Inglourious Basterds" worked out better, or at least I like to think so.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx - Well I do agree that Pulp Fiction is a better film, Kill Bill is the film that got me into Tarantino's films. It was the first Tarantino film that I have seen and it blew me away first time I saw it (I first saw it when I was 8 years old, lol) and that is why it will always be my favorite Tarantino film. And I found Inglorios Basterds pretty boring. The dialogue was spectacular but the scenes dragged on too long in my opinion. I liked Kill Bill vol 2 because it wrapped was more interesting and it was a great continuation of the first film.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx - Yeah. When my brother first showed it to me, I was so amazed at how violent the movie was. When I was really young, I would watch movies like The Terminator and Alien and old action movies with my friend and his dad.

@moviemaniac66 -- I think all parents allow their kids to see violent movies here and there - wanna hear something funny? I haven't seen Terminator or Alien yet - not because of "parental advisory", but because of the fact that procrastination is present. How are they?

Well, it seems there is no general consensus when it comes to this topic. In my opinion, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Kill Bill Vol. 1 are his best three any way you look at it. Inglourious Basterds is perfect until Revenge of The Giant Face, then it completely falls apart. All four of those films are definitive classics and should have each one Best Picture in their respective years of release.
Death Proof, and many people don't realize this, is B-horror movie exploitation. In that sense, it's a perfect film. Jackie Brown is easily his worst film, if there is such a thing. Quentin himself has conceded to that point in many interviews. The reason why is because his stories are much more interesting than Elmore Leonard's. Quentin did all he could with it, but in the end it ran WAY too long and it just wasn't as interesting as his other stuff. My list:
