  • In New Orleans filming a movie, Nicholas Cage was arrested for being drunk and disorderly in public and man handling his wife. He was taunting the cops who came to check on the disturbance and by golly they took him up on his dare to arrest him. Another celebrity mug shot for the tabloids. As Forrest Gump would say, "Stupid is as stupid does."

  • Alcohol makes people do crazy things. I am surprised about this tho but sooner or later when your in the limelight your skeletons are going to come out.

  • The New Orleans DA has dropped all charges against Cage. Case closed.

  • It's all a part of life my friends. When you reach at a peak in your life, and something happens, people talk, issues created. But if we talk on a broader perspective, we are all humans , and mistakes are our soul nature. Thanks :)

  • Cage has been doing cheesy movies lately. And now a Taken rip off titled Stolen?? WTF! Oh well, I still like him, and some of his new stuff.

  • @crypt I thought Bad LT: Port of Call ew Orleans was pretty good. That last good film Cage did and one of the only decent ons of the past decade.

  • @skywise I loved Drive Angry. That movie kicks ass. But I love crazy action movies like that. Crank and Shoot Em Up FTW!!!!

  • @crypt I was really surprised at Drive Angry. The previews did NOT let on to what the movie was really about (probably to the detriment of the film) but it wa a fun movie no doubt. I didnt love it but i sure didnt hate it eaither. Plus Amber Heard was very easy on the eyes.

I loved the original Crank but the sequel not so much. I think that him falling out of the chopper (and in my mind) dying was a perfect way to end that crazy ass movie.

Shoot em up was also fun but i only saw it once. I think I should watch it again to really "see" it.

  • @skywise See, Crank 2 is the perfect film. I know that sounds crazy but it basically has a moral and the moral is "f*ck you, studios, we make what we want". and i loved that approach. I loved the off the wall tendancies. People who hate it are obviously film snobs or its just not their thing. now, it is perfect sequel because it follows my guide lines of beat the sh*t out of a good series and make it insane and reaching. now, im wording myself poorly but i do not feel like re-typing that but you get what i mean, yes?

  • @skywise anyhow, Drive Angry was a huge surprise. and Shoot Em Up was epic, and deserves a few viewings. i was sad it actuallly lost money at the box office.

  • @crypt I know what you mean and I find myself in the minority over Crank 2. Everyone I know loved it even more than the original and it was not a bad film. I just felt that where the first left off was a great ending.

  • @skywise Ah, man if they did not make a Crank 2, the I would have been massively disappointed! Im glad they did and am awaiting Crank 3.

Oh, random, slightly, but did Cage's Bad Lieutenant have anything to do with Harvey Keitel's?

  • @crypt Absolutly nothing to do with it. And in my opinion its not as good. The Keitel version was just soooo raw. But Cage has some really awesome moments. Its a movie that plays off his strengths.

  • and its still Werner Herzog all the way, complete with lingering inguana shots. But the reason for the Iguanas is pretty damn awesome.

  • @skywise Ohok, so its not a sequel and not a remake? Just the same director or writer? Never heard of Herzog before. haha I have always wanted to see the original, ever since i heard the rating was NC17 and it was insane violent. I am kind a connoisseur for violent films, so to speak

  • @crypt its really not even a remake, its just a different story about a corrupt cop in a different place. One of the writers for Port of Call was a writer on the original.

I am a little surprised you havn't heard of Herzog although many of his films are foreign. he has made quite a name for himself as a visionary director. he also tends to do some obscure and weird doc*mentaries.

If you like those types of films you really should watch the original. My buddy who i mentioned before who is a horror film fanataic is a hhuge fan. Definatly watch the original before watching PoC. I think it is Harvey Keitel's best performance.

  • @crypt Well he did a movie that was well known in the states a while back called rescue dawn, with Christian Bale. Not his finest work but not bad. It is definatly a brilliant LOOKING movie but he has much better in hs arsenal.
