@moviewiz001 -- What kind of "racist" thing? He wrote something to his ex-girlfriend saying something like "..And don't come crying to me when you get r*pped by a bunch of n*ggers!", or something like that. I'll check his Wiki page to confirm it.
Tyler Durden: You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world.
@moviewiz001 -- Taken straight from Wiki: "in July 2010, it was alleged that Gibson had been recorded during a phone call with Oksana Grigorieva suggesting that if she got "raped by a pack of nigg*rs," she would be to blame."

@moviewiz001 -- Sorry if this may seem like spam, but found some more information from Wiki: "Racism
On 8 July 2010, Gibson was alleged to have made an ethnic slur against Latinos using the term "wetbacks" as he suggested turning in one of his employees to immigration authorities.[150] On 9 July 2010, some audio recordings alleged to be of Gibson were posted on the internet.[150] The same day Gibson was dropped by his agency, William Morris Endeavor.[150]
The July 2010 reports of voice-mail recordings also included alleged racist remarks, with Gibson using the word "nigg*rs".[142] Civil rights activists commented that Gibson had shown patterns of racism, sexism and anti-Semitism and called for a boycott of Gibson's movies.[151]
In April 2011, Gibson finally broke his silence about the incident in question. In an interview with Deadline.com, Gibson expressed gratitude to longtime friends Whoopi Goldberg and Jodie Foster, both of whom had spoken publicly in his defense. About the recordings, Gibson said,
"I've never treated anyone badly or in a discriminatory way based on their gender, race, religion or sexuality - period. I don't blame some people for thinking that though, from the garbage they heard on those leaked tapes, which have been edited. You have to put it all in the proper context of being in an irrationally, heated discussion at the height of a breakdown, trying to get out of a really unhealthy relationship. It's one terribly, awful moment in time, said to one person, in the span of one day and doesn't represent what I truly believe or how I've treated people my entire life."[93]"

Here's how I see it... I've said stupid, irrational things too, in the relationships I've been in. You could prob misconstrue those comments as me being prejudice or whatever towards a specific group of people, but as Mel said, they were things said in the heat of the moment, and didn't reflect my true nature on a daily basis.
The guy is a human being, he's going to f*ck up, especially with the drinking (and prob drug) problem he's had. I don't like his views on Jewish people, if they are what he's ranted about in the past, nor do I care for how his long standing marriage ended, with all those kids involved (at one point in time, I held Mel up in pretty high esteem), but I do know that sh*t happens, and life happens, and nobody's story is perfect. I'm still bummed he got booted off of Hangover 2 because of Zach G., and I plan on seeing his Beaver movie because I still like him and Jodie, of course.

You think Pike and Sykes haven't been watchin' us. They know what this is all about - and what do I have? Nothin' but you egg-suckin', chicken stealing gutter trash with not even sixty rounds between you. We're after men - and I wish to God I was with 'em
I have said some dumb things in my life too but I am not in the lime light 24/7. When you are always being watched you must take care.
You know, the very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common: they don't alter their views to fit the facts; they alter the facts to fit their views.” Doctor Who
@bawnian-dexeus Sadly, i believe that is what people want to read. It seems the public loves a good meltdown from someone who is much more well off than they are, which is sad. The man was obviously in personal crisis and the media used it for the publics enjoyment.

@bawnian-dexeus And truer words were never spoken but like i said, when you are that famous you must take care. People are ALWAYs watching. Of course we know Jackson had a f*cked up childhood and so he seemed a little off to most people but he also seemed to just not care.
I am not justifying the hardcore poparazi invasion and media circus, but i feel he made a few bad decisions that you or I could get away with. But not someone so famous.
People scoff when stars talk about how hard it is being famous but I for one am glad I am not. If I ever get this book published, it will be under another name and my picture will never appear in a book. I wouldnt want ANY level of fame.
I'm a famous MovieWeb'er!!!! Thats good enough for me LOL
