Colin Morgan graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 2007 before appearing in a stage adaptation of DBC Pierre's Vernon God Little at the Young Vic in London. Soon after, he appeared as Esteban in the stage adaptation of Pedro Almodovar's All About My Mother at the Old Vic and as Jimmy in A Prayer For My Daughter at the Young Vic. On television, he has appeared in The Catherine Tate Christmas Special as John Leary and also in an episode of Doctor Who before landing the leading role in the BBC One fantasy series in 2008.
