Screenwriter Evan Spiliotopoulos has been hired by Platinum Dunes to rewrite Ouija. Tron: Legacy screenwriters Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis wrote the original screenplay, although they are currently focused on writing the pilot Once Upon a Time for ABC.

We reported in January that McG is directing Ouija, which is said to center on a family while combining elements of The Mummy and Indiana Jones. Further plot details have not been released yet.

Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir will produce for Hasbro, the company that manufactures Ouija boards, along with Platinum Dunes producers Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Bradley Fuller.

No production start date was given, although a release date has already been set for November 9, 2012.

Ouija was released October 24th, 2014 and stars Olivia Cooke, Ana Coto, Daren Kagasoff, Bianca A. Santos, Douglas Smith, Matthew Settle, VIVIS, Robyn Lively. The film is directed by Stiles White.
