‘Only God Forgives’ Trailer Preview with Ryan Gosling

Nicolas Winding Refn directs this intense thriller about an exiled man searching for his brother’s killer.

Fans of the 2011 drama Drive have something to look forward to later this year with Only God Forgives, a new thriller that reunites director Nicolas Winding Refn with star Ryan Gosling. Although a release date hasn't been given yet, a brief teaser clip has found its way online. Ryan Gosling stars as Julian, a man living in exile in Bangkok who seeks vengeance for the death of his brother. Take a look at the first footage from this crime thriller, also starring Kristin Scott Thomas as Julian's mother Jenna.

Julian (Ryan Gosling) lives in exile in Bangkok where he runs a Thai boxing club as a front for the family's drugs smuggling operation. When Julian's brother Billy is killed their mother, Jenna (Kristin Scott Thomas), arrives in the city. She wants revenge and forces Julian to find the killer. Julian's contacts in the criminal underworld lead him directly to The Angel of Vengeance, a retired police officer who knows everything and who is both Judge and Punisher. Jenna demands that Julian kill The Angel of Vengeance, an act that will cost him dearly.

Only God Forgives was released July 19th, 2013 and stars Ryan Gosling, Vithaya Pansringarm, Gordon Brown, Tom Burke, Sahajak Boonthanakit, Pitchawat Petchayahon, Charlie Ruedpokanon, Kovit Wattanakul. The film is directed by Nicolas Winding Refn.
