‘Olympus Has Fallen’ Lands Cole Hauser

The actor will play one of the Secret Service agents guarding the President of the United States in director Antoine Fuqua’s thriller.

Cole Hauser has signed on to star in the Millennium Entertainment thriller Olympus Has Fallen from director Antoine Fuqua.

The story centers on the Secret Service agents who spring into action to protect the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart), when Korean terrorists attack the White House. Cole Hauser is playing one of the agents assigned to the President's detail, alongside Gerard Butler. Angela Bassett also stars as the head of the Secret Service.

Antoine Fuqua will direct from a screenplay by newcomers Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt. Cole Hauser also starred in the filmmaker's action-adventure Tears of the Sun in 2003. The actor recently wrapped production on A Good Day to Die Hard.

Principal photography is slated to begin this September. This project should not be confused with Sony's White House Down, starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx, that also centers on a terrorist attack at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Olympus Has Fallen was released March 22nd, 2013 and stars Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Finley Jacobsen, Dylan McDermott, Rick Yune, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Melissa Leo. The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua.
