Noomi Rapace Joins the Spy Thriller 'Unlocked'

The actress will portray a CIA interrogator who finds herself at the heart of a biological attack on London.

Noomi Rapace is in negotiations to join director Mikael Håfström's spy thriller Unlocked.

We first reported on the project back in September 2010, when Warner Bros.' picked up the screenplay by Peter O'Brien, which landed on The Black List in 2008. The story follows a CIA interrogator (Noomi Rapace) who is tricked into getting a terrorist to divulge critical information to the wrong side. She becomes ensnared in a plot to launch a biological attack on London. Warner Bros. is no longer involved with the project, which is now being produced as an indie film.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing, although it isn't clear when shooting is scheduled to begin.

Noomi Rapace most recently starred in Dead Man Down, and she will next be seen in Child 44, The Drop and Prometheus 2.

Unlocked is in development and stars Noomi Rapace, John Malkovich, Toni Collette, Michael Douglas, Orlando Bloom. The film is directed by Michael Apted.
