Nick Cassavetes has inked a deal to direct 20th Century Fox's thriller The Other Woman.

Written by Melissa Stack, the film tells the story of a woman, who discovers that her current boyfriend is married. She teams with the man's wife to seek mutual revenge on the adulterer. No actors or actresses have been confirmed, but Cameron Diaz has been eyeing the starring role.

Nick Cassavetes is best known for directing The Notebook and last year's Yellow.
