Zodiac Tops the Sales Charts

Movie PictureParamount Home Entertainment didn't need a decoder to tally their sales revenue last week.

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount saw Zodiac take the top spot on Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart.

New Line Home Entertainment had success with The Number 23 as it came in at No. 2.

The Number 23 was No. 1 on Home Media Magazine's video rental chart.

Falling to the No. 3 position on both charts was Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Premonition

Elsewhere on the sales charts...

MGM saw Stargate SG-1 Season 10 take the No. 5 sales slot. Lionsgate was all smiles as Weeds: Season 2 landed in the No. 7 spot.

Closing out the First Alert top 10 at No. 9 was The Contract from First Look Studios. The Contract also placed No. 5 on Home Media Magazine's video rental chart.

On the high-definition front... Universal Home Video watched The Bourne Identity win the week as the No. 1 HD-DVD. On the Blu-ray front, Planet Earth: The Complete Collection was the No. 1 seller.

    This epic crime drama is the most underrated movie of the year. Great performances by Robert Downey JR. and Jake Gyllenhaal, should be a film school study for years. David Fincher's direction is just about peerless.
