Zack Snyder to direct Afghanistan-set drama
Zack Snyder first developed the idea for The Last Photograph in 2007 with a story revolving around a photograph that becomes the catalyst for a journey two men undertake through war-torn Afghanistan.
No production date has been set.
The Last Photograph comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Sean Penn. The film is directed by Niels Arden Oplev.

Sounds interesting, but I wonder if Snyder can handle an original story...because Sucker Punch turned out to be pretty underwhelming. Not to mention this is a historical drama. Original story. Drama. Doesn't seem to be Snyder's thing thus far. But I'll wait for more news.

Movieweb just look at what you write: The film is directed by Niels Arden Oplev. but the main piece states (quite clearly) Zack Snyder to Direct The Last Photograph!
Also this is bad, Snyder doing realism, im surprised he hasn't tried to publish it as a graphic novel, to then have something (the only thing) to work on- a graphic novel-WHAT ELSE?
