Zach Braff says Scrubs is done
The original incarnation of the show actually ended last season. At that point it jumped to ABC after running for seven seasons on NBC. The new version of Scrubs centered on a new crop of medical interns, but never really took hold with fans.
"It was worth a try, but alas ... it didn't work," Braff posted on Facebook.

i thought the new take was ok, took me awhile to get use to it. it was funny once you got past that the old actors weren't around anymore.

dang. the med school approach was great (Zac Braff's JD character was getting hard to stomach - too whiney and chic, so the med school gave a new outlet for the humor)! it had a rough start, but Cole was fantastic, yo! lol
Scrubs really never had a fantastic shot (original or med school) - NBC or ABC. the fact that it lasted as long as it did is a testament to the quality show it really was. it never got a regular spot and was always relegated to mid-season filler. it's a shame.

Oh, it's still ON the air? I thought it was cancelled two years ago. Too bad, but a great show can't go on forever. And it is a really funny show. Clever comedy.

they actually managed to find the one f*cking person who is more irritating that zach braff to take zach's place, i cant believe it.
but anyway if they get a new lead, the show will be fine.

I enjoyed the new season as a spin-off series, but the true Scrubs ended with last season's amazing finale. I've seen every episode...it was a great run. Maybe now Bill Lawrence can create another series. I loved Spin City(which he co-created and Scrubs, so I'll check out whatever he dishes out.
