X-Men: First Class to Shoot in 2010?

It seems that a new X-Men movie may be shooting as early as next year, says an X-Men Origins: Wolverine actor's recent tweet. According to Tim Pocock, who played the young Scott Summers/Cyclops in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the actor will be reprising his role in X-Men: First Class, which could begin shooting next year.

"Currently shooting Australian TV series until February 2010...then X-Men: First Class," Pocock said on his Twitter account.

The film was written by Josh Schwartz, but a director hasn't been officially announced as of yet. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any new developments on this upcoming film.

X-Men: First Class was released June 3rd, 2011 and stars James McAvoy, Laurence Belcher, Michael Fassbender, Bill Milner, Kevin Bacon, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence, Beth Goddard. The film is directed by Matthew Vaughn.

    Brent Ratner maybe a whole lot of things, but he brought Rush Hour years ago. It just seems that he's at his best when it comes to regular people, more than mutants.

    i still wonder how x3 wouldve been if Bryan Singer had stayed with his version of the phoenix saga, which was gonna be more faithfull to the comic storyline and wouldve included the hellfire club and emma frost, better then mr.rush hour or watever the directors name was, so lame i forgot it lol

    in a way First Avenger is right, cuz if u look back at the 3 x-men movies, they all centered around wolverine more then any other characters which was koo and lame at the same time, then he gets his own origin movie that barely really followed his actual origins...let us fans do the films, well get it more right then the studios, mainly FOX

    The X-Men franchise died after X2. All the good INTELLIGENT stuff leftwith Bryan Singer and the dumb heartless The Last Stand does not deserve to be the last. An X-Men Origins Wolverine is not good help as it only followed the idea of action for fanboys.
    First Class will only make things worse!
    I say, redo X-Men 3, with a better storyline and a competent director who knows what he is doing, and of course a that brings back the social elements of the Singer films without being superficial

    Well, I''m looking forward to this. Though it would also be nice to finish off the horrible story line that the Last Stand had. These characters do get killed off in the comic's, it's high time they came back to life. Plus, Professor X is stuck in another body.
