Secret mutant cameo in X-Men: First Class revealed
Trust me. You don't want to read this story. But you just can't help yourself. Can you? Why are we perpetuating this news? Because its now everywhere this morning, and its in headlines. We didn't want to ruin the surprise, so we're keeping this marked as a spoiler alert!

Trust me, it's a lot funner if you see the movie fresh. Turn back now, or forever hold your peace. You've been warned!

***SPOLIER ALERT TERRITORY***

In this age of social networking and digital media, it is hard to keep any good cameo a secret nowadays. The news of a popular mutant making his/her way into X-Men: First Class was revealed way back in November, when a taxi driver announced via his Twitter that a certain actor had just been picked up from the set. A few short hours later, Bryan Singer said this was completely false, and that this extremely popular mutant was not in X-Men: First Class.

Well, that particular mutant may not be in the movie, but a hugely popular Australian actor does make a cameo, and he gets possibly the biggest laugh in the film. An on-line reviewer who saw the movie at an advanced screening dropped the news late yesterday, and some pretty big outlets have picked it up, announcing this in their headlines. What jerks!

Here is how they described the scene.

"Half way through X-Men: First Class, as Professor X and Magneto are traveling the world looking for mutants, they come across (a popular mutant) in a bar. Before they can get a sentence out, (this mutant), without looking at them tells them to "Go [frick] yourselves." They leave.

The character's appearance gets a laugh, his attitude and language gets a double laugh, repeating on itself, through the audience. It's a superb scene, well played, well staged, well placed. And it's the only moment such language is used in the entire film. We loved it."

Do you feel a little dirty having read that? We do.

X-Men: First Class was released June 3rd, 2011 and stars James McAvoy, Laurence Belcher, Michael Fassbender, Bill Milner, Kevin Bacon, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence, Beth Goddard. The film is directed by Matthew Vaughn.

@the Narrator - reading about spoilers or reactions to spoilers means that you will no doubt end up reading spoilers. I'm just stating a point. I'm not here to start anything. Although I could have been more polite, and less of a douche in my statement. My apologies to all.

@bane5000 Well, as I said, I'd live either way, whatever they want to do. I wasn't in love with Shreiber's take, so it wouldn't kill me if they recasted him.

its funny how people are still writing " I think i know who Jackman is gonna be in the movie"...hes gonna be WOLVERINE, mystery solved :D

  13. Bane5000

@dan1...Well if the Jackman cameo does come out to be him as Wolverine, then why not have Shreiber reprise his role also, u know what im saying dude?

Kind of like with Reynolds, he played Deapool in XO, but in his own film, hes gonna be a different Deadpool then he was in Origins, but its the same actor either way playing the same character

logical thinking in such an article is NOT TO READ the comments if you wish to not read the spoiler above.....now agreed that Fox is advertising the SH*T out of the movie, good to see Wolverine for this, definitely the highlight of the film, i believe

  16. Jimthar

@J.P. yeah but what i mean is that jackman is going to look old in the movie, wheras he looks younger in the movie thats supposed to be taking place years after this meeting. i didnt mean it from a character perspective, but from the point that the actor playing wolverine looks considerably older on film than he did ten years ago when the first x-men came out. are they using some effects to make him look younger in this movie? like they did with anthony hopkins in RED DRAGON.

  17. J.P.

@jimthar It can be explained that when he gets the procedure that graphs the adamantium to his bnes that he heals and looks considerably younger.

  18. Dan

@bane5000 Yeah he was decent, I'll give you that. But then, let's say First Class and it's subsequent sequels carve out their own path, wouldn't it be weird to have him play the character again? If this becomes it's own series, I dunno how much of a fan I am to see someone from the previous series play the character again. I'm sure I'd live either way, it would just seem weird to me.

  20. Bane5000

@dan1...To me the only good thing bout the movie was Liev Shreiber, i thought he did an excellent job as Victor Creed, he got how sadistic Sabretooth is supposed to be, if he ever does appear again in later films, they should get Shreiber back for the role

  22. Bane5000

@dan1...yeah its funny how people still defend that wasnt Emma Frost in XO, when if u go back on youtube and watch the character commercials for the film, she clearly states thats her name.So i guess everyone, from these new X-Men films, to the next Wolverine movie, to Deadpools whenever it starts getting made, is gonna ignore and act as if XO never happened

@dan1 I'm guessing a Summers and Frost relationship is out of the question with this take on the x-men right?

@bane5000 Exactly why I made the comment I did concerning the Emma Frost continuity issue, among others.

  27. Bawnian©-Dexeus

@bane5000 Nah, figured I'd see them in the theater. No sense in completely spoiling my film viewing pleasure, right? paying 7.25 dollars to watch a movie where you have already seen 30 or more minutes of it.

And yeah, guess we won't have to worry about continuity. It's all about introducing the mutants in a different light.

  30. Bane5000

@bawnian-dexeus...i know, what surprises me also is i just read an interview Vaugn did recently where he says " he doesnt give a sh*t " bout the older films and wether or not these new films have a connection or continuity to them, that he just wanted to make an X-Men movie he wanted to make his way...

so its obvious contuinity is not too important to him, so lets see how other characters get introduced in the next films and if he even plays out the scenes of Xavier finding scott and of both he and Magento going to see jean from X3, and also him already setting a cameo of Storm in this film when Xavier first uses Cerebro as shown in the recent two BTS videos, did u catch that also?
