The upcoming sequel is written by Simon Kinberg and will follows the comic book storyline that was featured in Uncanny X-Men 141 and 142 back in 1981.
X-Men: Days of Future Past comes to theaters July 18th, 2014 and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman. The film is directed by Bryan Singer.

I'm actually quite pleased that the X-Men's iconic spandex suits from the comics will be replicated, replacing the naff black leather suits. That probably means we'll see Wolverine wearing his mask.

I prefer the leather suits from the first movie over the cheap-looking yellow/blue suits from First Class. Don't get me wrong, the blue and yellow is cool, they just looked like they were made by a group of cosplay enthusiasts.
