WWE Admits Donald Trump Sale Just a Part of the Show
The USA network, which airs the show, issued a press release on the sale on Monday and today the network issued a statement that the "sale" was part of a new storyline where WWE's CEO Vince McMahon, due to economic hardships, was forced to sell some of his assets, one of which being WWE Monday Night RAW to Trump.
"We intended the release to be promotional for that ongoing story arc on the series," USA said in the statement. "There is no such actual 'sale.' We apologize for any confusion."
Trump is still scheduled to appear on WWE Monday Night RAW as the new manager of the show, in a commercial-free episode.

It amazes me that:
A) there are still people out there who think professional wrestling is "real," and
B) enough of those people own stock in the company that when they panicked and sold off their shares, the stock dipped 7%.
I would hope that anyone with enough income that they could invest it in the WWE would understand the difference between a storyline and a business decision that requires more oversight than just Vince McMahon getting on TV and saying "I sold RAW."

My last favorite wwe storyline is the revival of the NWO. That Vince car explosion, even though the death of Chris Benoit ruined it, it still sucked, especially that illegitimate son bullsh*t.

as a WWE fan, this does not surprise me at all. I knew this was a storyline...sure didn't think ol Vince would sell part of his show...sometimes they think the fans are just stupid and don't know what the hell is going on...seen too much of this over the years
