Maybe they have it where if the zombies are "freshly" infected, they can run, and they deteriorate into walkers over time. If so, maybe these guys are "fresh" zombies.

i live in Glasgow and visited the set almost every day, the production was pretty awsome for the first week they filmed the running away the zombies (if u can call them this) didnt appear untill the final few days. i managed to catch this particular scene as it happened gotta admit when i saw them running my excitment just drained. i was expecting a hoard of WALKERS to appear from around a corner instead plan b went this direction on it. i am a huge fan of the book IF IT AINT BROKE Y FIX IT.

    MIXED FEELINGS NOW.

@skywise They can throw all the money in the world at it, and from how things sound and look now, it won't be World War Z. Oh well, I'll just read the book again.

@dan1 I agree with you on that. The running zombies are not what this was all about. Just like Romero it was more about the fact that there are so many that even the creepers can overwhelm you because of their large numbers. I do not like the direction they are taking and wish they had stayed true to the book. I bet Brooks wishes he had at least TRIED to turn a script in now but aside from that. It IS a zombie movie and Plan B is obviously throwing tons of cash at it. Yes they mught as well have called it anything but World War Z which IS an affront to the hardcore fans of the book (....ME, i have read it 3 times) but i am still going to give it a chance. Its just that....well i know i am setting myself up for disapointment. There are so many great moments in the book that wont be able to make it here because now the U.N. man is in the action as apposed to collecting stories. That is going to take a lot away but if they can squeeze some of the best segments in somehow...

oh man...this is not looking good.

Oh and someone mentioned Zombie Expert...well here i am!

They've strayed too much for me now. How can they still tell the tale of how we swept back over America from west to east coast and talk about the strategy on how to kill them, when the running aspect pretty much negates those strategies? I don't like this at all.

@timmy I think these kids are too young or something. Or maybe they haven't read the book. Or maybe they think it was ok for Zack Synder's Dawn of the Dead remake to break the zombie rules. Nonetheless...anyone NOT pissed that these stupid zombies are running all over the place need to go back to zombie school. His name is George Romero people. Get in the pit. movieweb/person/george-a-romero
