The filmmaker, whose films were once synonymous with New York, said to his new hometown newspaper La Republicca:
"I love these sophisticated cities," he enthused. "It's fantastic to have the possibility to work there, like when I shot Manhattan in New York, Match Point in London and Vicky Cristina Barcelona in Barcelona ... Each time, it's like a declaration of love for certain places. I project onto the big screen my feelings for places which count a lot in my life. I hope to do the same thing with Rome."
No specific film details were announced.

Cassandra's dream wasn't very good either.

@dan1: Me too. He's a good director; but a very overrated one as well.
@stiles: Those are all fair points, although I thought Vicky Cristina Barcelona was really good. Penelope Cruz did win an Oscar for it, so at least her portrayal probably wasn't as insulting, lol.

Love Woody though I do, he hasn't mde a decent film in a long long time. I'm from London and I know his portrayal of London life in Match Point was so off the money that I assume Vicky Christina Barcelona was as insulting to any Spanish people who saw it. I have know doubt his postcard cliche depiction of Rome would do the same for Italians.
That said, his work in the 70s has earnt him the right to do whatever the hell he wants now, so knock yourself out Woody!

Not a fan of Allan. He manages to get some fantastic casts for his movies, a lot of people I like, but his brand of humor is very dry to me.
