Wonder Woman Photos Featuring Adrianne Palicki in Full Costume

Earlier this month, NBC decided to nix David E. Kelley's Wonder Woman TV series after a bad test screening of the pilot. That pilot is now starting to make the rounds, and new images have immerged from this failed attempt at resurrecting the popular DC Comics superhero. You can check out these new images below, which feature star Adrianne Palicki in her full Wonder Woman costume, as well as insight from ifanboy.com's Conor Kilpatrick, who got his hands on the pilot and reviewed it at length.

About the main plot of the pilot, ifanboy.com revealed this.

"We open and close with a big action sequence that showcases Wonder Woman's superheroics, and in-between we are introduced to her world populated up of her co-workers, allies, arch enemy, and ex-boyfriend."

This is what was said about Adrianne Palicki's performance as Wonder Woman.

"As Wonder Woman/Diana Themyscira/Diana Prince, Adrianne Palicki was a revelation. I was already a big fan of hers from Friday Night Lights but here she takes center stage and pulls off what is an extremely difficult role. She's tough, she's charming, she's sexy, she's vulnerable, and she's got a little bit of an angry edge to her when she's Wonder Woman that adds just a dash of exciting unpredictability. This could have been a star making turn for Adrianne Palicki who certainly deserves one. The Wonder Woman on this show is a badass who is not above choking dudes with her lasso (her favorite move) or throwing a piece of pipe through your throat if you won't stop shooting at her."

From looking at these photos it's no "Wonder" NBC changed it's mind. It may have worked in the 70's but not practical in todays market. She's better off staying in graphic novels and animated films for now.

This probably could of been a movie with no problem. Movies do better then tv shows, especially when it it is a movie based off of a comic book character.

Looks like it would replace Smallville if it were to hit TV. Anyway, it looks quite silly if you ask me.

I see this as a blessing not-so-in disguise. Had the show been picked up, and managed to tread that line between being laughable/mediocre and decent, it might have c*ckblocked or at the least dissuaded execs from thinking about a movie. Now that it's kaput and not happening, the movie should definitely be back on the table. And I'd like to see a fresh origins tale, so everyone is brought up to speed with the character and informed. Show us Themiscyra, use costumes that don't make us laugh at first glance (such as the Greek one I suggested), forget the invisible plane, have her fly like modern Wonder Woman, and have the first movie's villain be Ares. Have it be about Diana settling a score between Hyppolita and Ares, and integrating herself into our society. Basically the outline of the animated movie, minus the plane. End it with her in the modern costume with the skin tight black pants, it would be more believable and acceptable to a broader audience, and of course hint at the next movie's villain. Done.

I like the first picture, but the rest look really lame. I dunno what it is about Palicki but I just don't see her as Wonder Woman (in terms of looks). Even the far away shot where you can't see her face looks bad, lol. I would like to see the Pilot just to know, but I have a feeling I would laugh at it more than I would enjoy it.

I dunno, the more I've seen of the modern costume, I've grown to like it. That, or this really greek short shorts version. I love the traditional, classic look, of course, but maybe it's better staying in animation.

This enitre project reminds of the the Fantastic Four movie that was so sucky, it was shelved and never released.. >:) But with that said, she looks good as Wonder Woman, but I personaly cant see that character being a hit for tv let alone a stand alone movie project. Even the animation Wonder Woman was not as big as the other comic "toon" movies made as of late in being bought.

@cupid The star-spangled underwear would look hot and are recognized as classic Wonder, but yeah, her new look would work well with a movie, or even a TV show: black, skin tight pants. No leather jacket though.
