David E. Kelley's search for a new Wonder Woman is over. Adrianne Palicki has landed the title role in the NBC pilot.

Adrianne Palicki will star as Diana Prince, an L.A. corporate executive who also moonlights as the powerful crime fighter Wonder Woman. The story will revolve around Prince trying to juggle her busy life as a businesswoman and crime-fighting vigilante. Adrianne Palicki was the only actress invited to test for the lead role.

David E. Kelley wrote the pilot, which will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner. Adrianne Palicki had previously worked with Jeffrey Reiner on the NBC football drama Friday Night Lights.

Adrianne Palicki most recently appeared on the critically-acclaimed but short-lived Fox drama Lone Star.

she's hot but because its on NBC i'm not happy. if it's a good show it will end fast without a real ending. and if it's a bad show it will stay on air for a long time.

Anybody who's seen Friday Night Lights knows that Palicki is a terrific actress. Plus she has the perfect physique for the role. The problem is with the script.

I think the fact that Tanit was talking to a frog who she had to pretend was an action figure of herself as WW is a clear indication that it was not real dialogue... unless of course, the frog is supposed to talk back.

In which case, this show is destined to become a comedy, and a very entertaining one at that.

  22. Brainiac

i was already pretty disappointed with the idea of her being a corporate exec, but then to hear that dialogue, man that is like an insult to the character, she is supposed to stand for womanhood and feminism and all that jazz, and to have her complain about her boobs not being big enough is just dumb.

speaking of BIG TIME, Spider-man rocks right now. (...sigh, i'm too nerdy)

@thebd, good catch. I went and watched it, and I must say, I hope they're joking with that little tid bit, or this show will mess things up, BIG TIME.

  24. Brainiac

ok did anyone else watch the video of that other chick audition. OMFG, if that is actual dialogue for this show i'm going to be soooooooooo f*cking mad. firstly the dialogue gives away that she is a corporate exec, but the ppl she is in business with know she is wonder woman also, secondly she is discussing a toy version of herself and says that the boobs are wrong. that on its own wouldn't be bad, but the fact that she then says she wishes her boobs were like that, in what f*cking universe does wonder woman concern herself with her bust size, let own wish to have bigger nicer boobs?!?!

if that is any indication of where this show is going i'm going to be extraordinarily pissed.

    1 year agoby @thebdFlag

  25. Brainiac

well she is gorgeous, and i think she could pull it off, but she is a lil young for how i always pictured wonder woman. and i also think she is young for a character that is supposed to be a corporate exec, w/e this show is goin to bomb.

@ensigndesign, it's one thing to want to hump a girl, and a complete other thing to find their address, subdue them, and live out your fantasies. I'm pretty sure that as long as you stick with the former, you're in the safe zone. :P
