The adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' novel The Informers has gained two new cast members. According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Winona Ryder and Mickey Rourke have joined the film.

The plot of the book revolves around seven individuals whose lives intersect over the course of a week. Also appearing in The Informers are Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Brandon Routh, Ashley Olsen, Jon Foster, Lou Taylor Pucci and Austin Nichols.

Ryder is set to play a newscaster who has just been dumped after a longtime affair with a married producer. Rourke is set to play Peter, an amoral former studio security guard who plots to kidnap a small child and sell him to the leader of a Los Angeles cult.

The Informers was released April 24th, 2009 and stars Jon Foster, Austin Nichols, Amber Heard, Lou Taylor Pucci, Fernando Consagra, Aaron Himelstein, Mel Raido, Rhys Ifans. The film is directed by Gregor Jordan.
