William Nicholson Goes Back to 1066

William Nicholson is going back to his period piece roots for his next project. According to Variety, Nicholson has been tapped to write 1066, about the battle to end all battles in England.

The film will revolve around the epic battle between King Harold and William the Conquerer for the throne of England, which concluded with the Battle of Hastings. William's win led to the Norman's rule and the battle was the last successful invasion of Great Britain. The film will concentrate on the relationship between Harold and William, once great friends who turned into bitter rivals for the throne. Harold's death - by an arrow to the eye - is legendary still to this day in England.

Nicholson, who also wrote the epic Best Picture winner Gladiator, is writing the film for Shine Pictures, which has greenlit the film and fast-tracked it for a prodcution start late this year.

    I did not say that my education matters to anyone or anything. No neither money or education will save me if the world ends and I agree, in the whole scheme of things it really does not matter. I do not have a problem with the way you talk Killerman, I just do not like to be personally insulted just because I may not agree with you. You may not think it is a personal attack, but it is the way I interpret it. It really seems as if we like a lot of the same things. Yes there are things we have different opinions about, but that is what makes us individuals right. I just want to get along so maybe we can talk about the things we both like.

    I doesn't matter how many grades you skipped, if you did, i have no reason to believe or even the time to. Well, i too have a four year degree with computer science. But none of this education sh*t really matters. You think when your dead anyone's going to think about that. You think when this world ends that will save you. It won't. By the way, i talk to people the on here the way i talk to them in real life. You got a problem with that, well sorry, but that's all your going to get out of me.

    I guess I was lucky, but it was not really all that great. I had people give me a hard time because they thought I thought I was better than them. I have never thought I was better than anyone and still don't. The only good things about it was that you remain challenged as far as school work and you get to get out of high school early.

    Almost forgot, since you are interested in my educational background, I thought I would let you know exactly what it was. I graduated high school when I was 16, with honors and I was #10 of a class of 593. I graduated so early because I was able to skip second and seventh grade. I started college that year and do actually have a four year degree. All this before either of my children were born. Next year I plan on going back for my masters degree.

If you have read a personal insult into any of my opinions then you were obviously mistaken and I apologize because it was not intentional. I do not 'come after you' either. I will say it again, just because someone disagrees with you does not mean they are personally attacking you nor does it mean they are 'out to get you'. Have I ever called you names and insulted you personally because you feel differently than I do? To be honest, I have better things to do with my time than to try to discuss something civilly with you because you are obviously incapable of doing so. That is not an insult, just an observation because of comments like below.

    Another insulting comment just because someone has a different opinion, big surprise. If Gladiator was so bad, then why did it make $187 million dollars and win five oscars along with 45 other awards? You never explain why you feel the way you do. Is there something wrong with discussing different views instead of being negative and insulting. I have never been insulting to you and I never will because life is too short to be negative all of the time.
