It seems like it's been a long while since a good biopic came down the pipeline. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joel Eisenberg has purchased the rights to William M. Gaines life story.

If you didn't know, Gaines was responsible for foisting both Mad Magazine and Tales from the Crypt upon the world. The film will be titled Ghoulishly Yours, William M. Gaines. Eisenberg will be writing the script himself.

The plot of the biopic will revolve around Gaines reluctantly spearheading an anti-establishment group of comic book creators as they search for creative freedom. The film does not have a start date.
