The X-Men Origins: Wolverine casting news has been flowing fast and furious in the past few days, with the announcements of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Taylor Kitsch as Gambit joining the film starring Hugh Jackman. Now, Variety reports that hip-hop star will.i.am has also joined the cast. The Black Eyed Peas co-founder will.i.am has signed on to star as John Wraith in Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Entertainment's X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine explores Wolverine's early days, before joining the X-Men. The film will cover Logan's early life, and his involvement with the mysterious Weapon X program. The film stars Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, Liev Shrieber as Creed/Sabretooth and Danny Huston as Stryker. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is due to arrive in theatres May 1, 2009.
