The Longest Yard: According to The Hollywood Reporter, William Fichtner has joined the cast of The Longest Yard at Paramount Pictures. He joins Gary Oldman, Burt Reynolds, Chris Rock and Adam Sandler, who toplines the remake of the 1970s comedy.

The Longest Yard is the story of pro quarterback Paul Crewe (Sandler) and former college champion and coach Nate Scarboro (Reynolds), who are doing time in the same prison. Asked to put together a team of inmates to take on the guards, Crewe enlists the help of Scarboro to coach the inmates to victory in a football game "fixed" to turn out quite another way.

The Longest Yard was released May 27th, 2005 and stars Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Burt Reynolds, Nelly, Michael Irvin, Walter Williamson, Bill Goldberg, Terry Crews. The film is directed by Peter Segal.
