Will You See Avatar Again in 3D?

Will you pay to see Avatar again in 3D?
Will you pay to see Avatar again in 3D?
As James Cameron and 20th Century Fox prepare to unleash Avatar in theaters once again on August 27th, we have to ask, will you see it again in 3D? Would you see it if it didn't have the additional 8 minutes of new footage? And while we're at it, how many time have you Avatar so far?

On August 27, you can return to Pandora and re-experience James Cameron's history-making epic film, with more than eight minutes of never-before-seen-footage, exclusively in Digital 3D and IMAX 3D. Since - and largely as of result of - Avatar's release last December, the number of available digital 3D screens has exploded, and moviegoers who missed experiencing the film in 3D, as well as fans that want to return to Pandora again, will now have that opportunity.

The Oscar and Golden Globe winning epic is the highest grossing film of all time, taking in over $2.7 billion in worldwide box office. It is also the top-selling Blu-ray disc of all time. The re-release will only strengthen it's hold on #1, but will MovieWeb users really be back for another round? We wanna know!

Avatar was released December 18th, 2009 and stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Joel Moore, Giovanni Ribisi, Michelle Rodriguez, Laz Alonso. The film is directed by James Cameron.

Real or not, it's of no importance to me on MOVIEWEB. I'm surprised the cast and crew of the Hobbit weren't in the car wreck. It'd be just their ironic luck.

There were no better stories to comment on haha. "Accidental crash on the Transformers set". I'm sorry, but there is no such thing as an "accidental" crash on a Transformers set. Publicity stunt.

If I revise, it's done right away. I write, post, reread, not satisfied with comment, make changes, repost, and delete old comment. Glah. Writer's perfectionism at work :P

Couldn't help myself, @TheREALavatah - I just had to call it as I saw it.

You know, I sadly agree with you. I was thinking somewhere more like Oregon and OH don't get me started with Oregon! One of the most extreme . . . well, I won't get into politics, but let's just say I'm a bit liberal to some degree, but out there, it's extremist central - west division. Half of the cities are stuck in the 60's and people grow their own pot in the forest. Stoners. Let's just say I'll take SoCal over Oregon any day (and no offense intended to those of you from Oregon . . . who are of sound mind)

Oh yeah, excellent quote, @moviegeek - case in point! :P

Ya'll feed him way too much attention. He mentioned he lives on the west coast in one of the greenest cities. I'm going to assume somewhere near San Fransisco or somewhere nearby. People from that area are smug, arrogant, and need to just fall into the ocean and be eaten by sharks that won't give a sh*t about their "superiority".

@bowlesk1234 - I am really beside myself here. I cannot for the life of me believe for a moment that you truly are what you say you are. A university professor would NEVER continue a debate like this, let alone start one, on a movie site. I mean, really? You show just as much immaturity to those opposing your view as those you claim are immature to you. I'll say it again. You, sir, are an eloquent troll. As a social commentator, I have seen many, and you present yourself exactly like one (ex: playing the "your immature" card, incoherently structured sentences, raising new claims (bamboo home, uvi professor) to validate yourself with each comment, the next being more extreme than the last). If there is evidence to back up your views, how about you SHOW US instead of just saying, "I have evidence, so you're wrong" all the time. You're extremely ambiguous, the essential quality of a troll.

    Link or G.O!
Enough with the martyrdom and intellectual dishonesty. I see right through you, buddy :P
("Nuff said?" Sorry, but kids say stuff like that, and so does the biggest troll on MW)

I will say this though. We take from trees. Trees take from us. Equivalent exchange. Everything must be gained from something. Something cannot be gained by nothing. This is basic and ancient science. I am sorry, but trees do not have a soul. Energy, sure, but not souls. I think there is a symbiotic relationship between ALL things, not just living things, which is governed, universally, by energy.

"That is a firm belief in many religions." True, but last I heard, religion is a theology, a faith, something that cannot or has yet to be proven. Not fact. For a man of science, you're quite religious, which is fine, but you're morally overzealous, as evidenced by your attempted guilt trips at us "average" persons (geesh . . . get off your pedestal). Your next line, "and with many people who are connected with life, compassion, and heart." So because I have a house made of wood, print papers all the time, and collect many books, means I'm "heartless, have no compassion, and am not connected with life?"

I think I'm done with you at this point. I know that's not what you said, but your insinuation is insulting, more insulting than anything else you've said here. No one can know more than anyone else, so don't even go there, mister. Don't be so pompous as to assume you know more than us, oh Ivory Tower professor. In the end, for all you know, you AND I could be dead wrong in everything we know to be true.

Like my man ejk1, I'm done with you, but one last thing.
Which state is your "university" at? I want to be sure that my kids won't go there :P

"Science is for open minds and willing learners. It is always open for discussion and change. Let your mind exist on the edge of reason so as to never deny what may very well be true. The moment we think we've learned it all is the moment we have, indeed, fallen."

  22. bowlesk1234

Sorry, but if that is your foresight, you are simpletons. The world is more wonderous than you are allowing your minds to perceive. You are doing a disservice to your own soul by ignoring the souls of life in all its forms around you. End of my debate on this thread. It was interesting as a professor to here the average persons view, but also disheartening that our education system is doing such a poor job that someone here actually thinks evolution has no evidence.

How is it the ethical side if I don't believe that trees are offended by my comments?

Your second sentence makes no sense at all, seeing as how evolution requires the same amount of faith as creation does.

And there is evidence to support evolution if that is what you are looking for. And there is evidence to go against it if that's what you are looking for. I took a thorough look at evolution and its undeniable that (whether or not it true or false, which, duh, I cannot say) the evidence favors the latter.

Evolution has nothing but proof on its side. I think you have it backwards. They have nealry completed the link with fossil evidence. They have scientific proof of evolving ameobas and adaptation. They have cellular divide and been able to partially recreate big bang concepts.

There is no competing theory for except creationism that has no proof except faith which is the absence of faith.

There is no proof that trees feel pain, and no proof they don't. Do not be so conceited to think you know if they do or don't, and since you don't know, the wise decision would be to fall on the ethical side of error which would be to assume they do.

""It's like the people who don't believe in evolution even with all the proof."" - Bowels

ROFLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!! You just proved everything people have said against you! I'm dying reading this. PROOOOFFFFF for evolution??? PROOOOFFFF!!!!???? *passes out from laughter*

I can now discredit the factoids you have presented. Regardless of the true origins of this Earth, there is NO proof for evolution, nor do people who don't believe in it suffer from mental trauma. There is so much proof AGAINST evolution!! I can't tell you that either side is definitely true or false, but I do know that science has much more proof stacked up AGAINST evolution than FOR it.

And which scientist discovered that trees feel pain? I would love to know how they measured that. . .
