We just got word from Bloody Disgusting that Will Smith is gearing up to produce a new horror film entitled Monster Hunter. They have it on good word that Kevin James will be starring in the project.

The film revolves around a child psychologist that can actually see the closet and bed monsters that torment young children at night. He will use his skills to vanquish these horrible creatures. The plot finds him going up against a rather nasty pest that isn't easily destroyed. Robert Baird and Daniel Gerson wrote the film.

David Dobkin is directing the project for Sony. A start date has yet to be announced.
